CHSO Fundraising
Each April, the CHSO travels to a new destination for our annual spring trip to compete against other high school ensembles. The orchestra has traveled to cities such as Orlando, Chicago, Myrtle Beach, New York City, Nashville, and more! The fundraisers listed here help students and their families raise money for their individual trip accounts. Some students pay for their whole trip with fundraising alone! Please find the CHSO fundraisers options below and sign up to volunteer.
Every three years, the String Ensemble embarks on an international tour! The CHSO has traveled thus far to Austria, Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, and Ireland. During these years, additional individual fundraising, grants, and community donations help lower the cost for each student to attend.
Baking & Ushering
The CHSO provides ushers and sells baked goods at many community concerts throughout the year as a way for students and their families to fundraise for their spring trip. Please consider signing up to bake or usher using the sign-up buttons below. Students and families are both welcome to volunteer!

Poinsettia Sales
The CHSO Poinsettia Sale has become an established event in our community and is an important fundraiser for orchestra students. Our annual poinsettia sale offers red plants in 6” and 8” pots and white and pink plants in 6” pots. The plants are beautiful, reasonably priced, and easy to sell for winter gift-giving and decorating. Approximately 50% of the proceeds each student raises will go directly to their individual trip accounts
Students will receive order forms in class. If you need additional sheets, please find them on the work copies table. Students should return the order form and all checks/cash collected (gallon-size ziplock bag or a business-size envelope) during class by the mid-November due date (TBA). Checks are much preferred over cash (but we know some customers only pay in cash). All checks delivered must be made out to CHS Orchestra.
